Sylvia Avenius Ford Sylvia Avenius Ford was born in Portland, Oregon, but lived in South America, Africa and Europe for the first fourteen years of her life. Influenced by her exposure to different cultures and the time she spends in northern New Mexico, she began painting brightly colored pottery in 1990. Moving to a mixed media on “found” wooden panels seemed a natural progression. She continues to develop her experimentation and own personal style. A former special education elementary teacher, Sylvia lives with her husband in Angel Fire, New Mexico. | ||||||||||||||||||||
