Roy Brown

Experiencing Roy Brown’s work in clay is impossible to sum up as nice “pottery”.The shapes, the textures, the luminous glazes made by hand draw one in.  Roy Brown has made a life in the Arts for more than 30 years. With an MFA in Ceramics from Southern Methodist University, he has pursued his passion for working with clay, elevating it to Fine Art.  When asked to elaborate, Roy continued “I have always had the fine art aspect within my work.  Only after a certain maturity in my work did I feel confident to pursue an avenue that allowed me to express more.  My work on the ranch and surrounding area inspire and encourage my art.”  Originally from Ballinger, Texas, he was raised on a farm and ranch. “I take the work seriously and enjoy the challenge of combining real art with the real world.”
