It’s funny, I remember when, many years ago, I was sitting in a watercolor workshop, and the instructor Cathy Lubke said, “Let’s paint a nice big poppy”.  I responded, “I don’t do flowers”.  And she said, “You will now!”  Wow was she right.  I fell in love that day and I have never really stopped!  I’m passionate about my work. I want you to walk past it each day and automatically light up with a smile.  Flowers are so delicate, so happy and so responsive to various conditions.  Many close their petals as night falls and open again with the warm of the sun.  I paint them to express that joy.  That resilience and fervor to open and shine.  I smile as I’m painting and I smile when one goes to a new home and I hope they make you smile too!
