"I teach drawing in an unconventional method. I teach you to use your eyes as your primary tool. I don't work with blocking in shapes, but rather by following a shape with your eyes while pulling the pencil along the paper. I call this Shape Memory Method™ It's a very effective way to accurately draw what you see."
Here's what some of my students have said.
"Our watercolor class was great fun and so informative that I believe I could continue to do watercolor paintings for quite a while myself!" Kathy Robinson
" I enjoyed your lesson on paint watercolor poppies. Using more colors and less detail was new to me. I think I might like to try more watercolor painting, and I definitely want to try more flowers. Thank you for your inspiration!" Pat Medina
Katherine offers private lessons in drawing, watercolor and pastel. She also teaches a group watercolor class on Thursday evenings throughout most of the year. The class is a "drop in" style, with few projects spanning more than one lesson.
